Job Summary and Responsibilities/Duties

Job Summary
Assists the dean/athletic director and other members of the game management staff in providing a professional and quality experience for MHCC athletic teams, opposing teams, and event guests.

Essential Duties

  1. Provides event support before, during, and after athletic events.  Assignments could include announcing during games, keeping statistics for various sports, collecting tickets, operating scoreboards, retrieval of implements, assisting with measurements for track and field events, raking pits, and/or filming athletic competitions
  2. Assists with set-up and take-down for events.

Additional Duties

  1. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum and Desired Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must be able to understand and follow directions, verbally and in writing
  • Must be punctual for shifts 

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of various sports and their respective rules
  • Experience keeping statistics for athletic competitions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to follow direction 
  • Knowledge of athletics
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent customer service skills

 

Working Conditions and Important Information

 

Salary Range: $15.95-$30 (depending on assignment)

Working Conditions
Depending on assignment, position may include working outside in cold or warm conditions. Some positions are indoors and may require sitting for extended periods of time
