This leader will play a pivotal role in representing our commitment to financial wellness and delivering the highest level of service to our members, employees, stakeholder teams, and community partners. This role will work closely with OnPoint leadership, employees, and the education community, including districts, schools, teachers, and students, to ensure a comprehensive approach to financial education, literacy, and wellness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This role will help OnPoint successfully deliver its goal of championing financial education for all phases of our members’ and employees’ lives.
  • This role will be the public face of OnPoint’s financial wellness program.
    • Attend key events, including speaking at financial wellness-related events.
    • Develop and cultivate relationships within the education system in our footprint.
    • Cultivate relationships with all levels of OnPoint employees so they are versed in financial wellness when engaging with members.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, building essential relationships to support the financial wellness program and projects.
    • Professionally represent OnPoint to external stakeholders, including regional and state advocacy efforts related to financial education.
  • The advancement of the financial wellness strategic plan is an important component of the OnPoint Impact Plan. Therefore, this role will strategically lead and implement the financial education strategic plan through a multifaceted approach, working closely with various teams to incorporate financial education as a component within the Impact Plan, establishing OnPoint as a leader in the financial education space in accordance with our Purpose.
    • Interface and manage support needed from OnPoint shared services, including communication, marketing, Retail employee training (for classroom education), and corporate giving.
  • Responsible for overseeing partner/vendor relationships with particular attention to business relationships critical to achieving the team’s strategic plan.
  • As needed, this role will facilitate school classroom financial education sessions, coordinating directly with teachers and the school’s administration in conducting sessions.
  • Identify partnering opportunities within the community to further the financial wellness program.
  • Flexes schedule occasionally to perform job duties at the office before and after regular hours, depending on unexpected projects and last-minute deadlines.
  • Develop and department budget and resources effectively.
  • Participate in organizational leadership and cross-functional meetings to provide subject matter expertise and collaboration.
  • Oversee and manage activities and outreach to co-design solutions that affect member, employee, and community financial wellness.
  • Ensure OnPoint’s brand and reputation are protected throughout the process, from conception to final delivery of programs and communication.

  • Community organizing and/or engagement experience within diverse geographies.
  • Culturally competent communication experience.
  • Must be highly collaborative.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience and knowledge
  • At least four years of managing program oversight and delivery or equivalent experience, preferably in the financial education/literacy arena
  • Six+ years within the nonprofit community as a public-facing representative.
  • Ability to organize and budget overlapping projects and initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with basic financial products is required
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work nights and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license and regularly travel within Oregon and SW Washington
