Overview

Under the general direction of the Director of Marketing Operations, this role is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of marketing programs to support the Credit Union’s strategic plan. Specifically, this role would lead strategy and execution around retail support for each of our 57 branches, including merchandising, branch-related campaigns, and ongoing requests from the branches. This role would be entrenched in branch culture and responsibilities so they can be an advocate for both branch needs and member delight, as well as consistent brand visibility.

Essential Functions

  • This role will stay closely connected to branches so they know firsthand the compliance and regulatory practices, how we work with members, how we discuss our products and services with prospects, and how we help prospects join OnPoint.
  • This role represents the needs of the branch team to the marketing team and is also a representative to the Marketing team, helping create a positive, productive, and collaborative relationship.
  • Nurture branch employee relationships with regular weekly visits and calls.
  • Helping Retail front-line teams understand how marketing materials/campaigns will support branch staff's retail goals (written, video, in-person).
  • Lead development of branch-specific marketing campaigns, including brand awareness development in certain regions, individual branch boosts, large acquisition campaigns, etc.
  • Working closely with the OnPoint Events Team, overseeing new branch openings or anniversary celebrations, including event planning and promotion, giveaways, and developing branch-specific product promotions.
  • Be an additional team member to assist with the successful deployment of events that highlight branches in the community.
  • Manage ongoing collateral and product display updates to ensure a consistent brand and member experience. This includes seasonal and community merchandising, in-branch digital screen content, ATM screens, product/service collateral, and giveaway support.
  • Assist branches with their marketing needs, including managing the marketing helpdesk, ordering supplies, producing and distributing printed collateral, critical problem-solving, and other duties as needed. This role is often the first point of contact on the team for branches and departments.
  • Work with vendors to produce giveaways, printed materials, permanent branch fixtures, and other items as needed.
  • Assist with writing and editing advertising and marketing materials as needed (e.g. promotional literature, flyers, signs, merchandising, brochures, etc.).
  • Integrate closely with other areas of marketing (e.g. events, content development, digital marketing, community relations, social media, public relations, etc.).
  • Incorporate credit union policies and procedures to ensure all marketing-related activities conform to applicable regulatory and credit union-mandated standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Service-oriented mindset and a willingness to problem-solve.
  • Highly organized and able to manage and budget overlapping projects and initiatives.
  • Thrives in managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and high expectations.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive nature is essential.
  • Financial services experience, particularly on the branch level's front line.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate with people at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and you should have 3-4 years of previous experience in financial services or marketing department.
  • Experience in a bank or credit union, in a member-facing role, with financial services and business development knowledge is highly desired.
  • Experience in marketing, events, or design work is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work some weekends and travel within Oregon and SW Washington.
  • Light physical exertion with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license.
