Personnel management duties include supervision of front desk and receptionist/back office positions. Coordinates divisional staffing coverage at Marquam Hill, CHH and Vancouver retina clinics (Imaging coverage). Models service excellence expectations within the division. Resolves staff performance/behavior issues. Works with physicians and support staff to discuss technical, operational and equipment issues, problem solves and monitors ongoing activities. Involved with clinical research study preparation, and source documentation requirements.
Maintains 40 imaging devices following maintenance and ITG updates at CEI, ECEC and CHH. Meets with ITG every 3 weeks to maintain OHSU security guidelines. Maintains Continuum Image management system is viable and functioning for clinic review.
Employee works with all age groups and duties are in support of Service Excellence and include the following: Performs a wide variety of ophthalmic photography procedures including color fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, ICG angiography, OCT, Anterior segment OCT, slit lamp photography, Gonio photography, OCTA, imaging in the OR –retcam photography.
Employee involved in strategic planning, budgeting and monitoring overall performance of the Imaging Services at Casey. Keeps abreast of current ophthalmic photography techniques, processes and equipment to ensure program is current and state of the art.
Employee manages (hires, fires, trains and disciplines) ophthalmic photographers, and administrative staff. Manages staffing to assure coverage for all Casey Eye locations/clinics. Participates in staff meetings, informs personnel of policy and procedural changes and assists with compliance issues, providing materials and education to staff about related expectations.
Assist in departmental and divisional planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical services, as well as associated administrative operations and activities. Monitors access, patient satisfaction, professional referrals and surgical schedules. Identifies development, education and recruitment plans to address programmatic needs and ensures effective execution.
Financial duties include assisting in preparation of annual budgets and helps monitor expenditures. Responsible for ensuring accurate and comprehensive processing of charge capture for facility and professional billing activity within each division.
Fields, manages and responds to perceived external customer service failings. Acts as a liaison in appropriate resolution and socializes any organizational learning opportunities.
Teaches residents in the areas of ophthalmic photography. Trains staff and faculty members on new developments and techniques in ophthalmic imaging.
