WHAT YOU WILL DO:
We are recruiting for individuals to join our Business Services team.
In this position you will primarily be responsible for the agency’s formal procurements. You will determine the appropriate methodology for procurement and development of required documentation, as well as provide consultation and direction to division contract administrators on contract issues and methods to best meet legal requirements. As the Senior Procurement and Contract Specialist, you will train, develop, and coach new and existing agency Procurement & Contract Specialists on best procurement practices and agency’s electronic procurement system.

Your application must demonstrate education and/or experience in the following:
Five years procurement and contract experience related to the position such as developing and administering standard contracts, agreements, or solicitations.
OR
A bachelor’s degree* and two years of professional-level procurement and contract experience related to the position.
OR
Any combination of experience and education* equivalent to five years of procurement and contract experience related to the position.
*All applicants using their education to meet the position requirements must submit a copy of all transcripts no later than interview to receive credit for college degrees or coursework. Credits must be from an accredited college or university. Transcripts must include name, coursework and indicate that a degree was obtained. On-line transcripts are acceptable for application. A copy of official transcripts will be required at time of hire.

Preference may be given to candidates who have a Certified Professional Public Buyer or Certified Professional Public Officer.

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6%.
