WHAT YOU WILL DO:

In this role, you will help support a team implementing campaign finance contribution limits. This is accomplished in part by, but not limited to:

  • Providing administrative support functions for the Elections Deputy Director for Campaign Regulation and subordinate staff working on Campaign Finance, Investigations, Rulemaking and Hearings. This includes printing and preparing mailings, maintaining contact lists, numbering and collating exhibits for court and administrative hearings, and providing data entry support.

  • Coordinating and scheduling internal and external meetings and public hearings.

  • Writing and sending meeting reminders, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up as necessary.

  • Serving as hearings officer for administrative rules hearings which includes accepting public comments and preparing hearings transcripts. Organizing and tracking comments submitted by the public on administrative rules. Preparing written summaries of public comments submitted for consideration by Division and Agency leadership.

  • Serving as Campaign Finance, Investigations and Administrative Rules archiving specialist by using agency and statutory retention policies to preserve and archive records. This includes digitizing paper records, organizing files, and moving records into the agency's records management systems and network drives.

  • Assisting with research, writing and editing of internal and external communications with stakeholders, including newsletters, program materials, and program updates.

  • Serving as back up to Elections Operations Specialist as needed, including providing additional support on travel arrangements and procurement needs.

Your application must demonstrate education and/or experience in the following:

Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents;

OR

An associate degree in any field;

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Organizational skills ' ability to plan work and follow up on task assignments while meeting overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment.

  • Proven ability to promote a team-oriented environment by engaging in proactive understanding of elections issues, procedures, and program functions.

  • The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6%.
