Position overview

Provides support to the Credit Union’s locations by performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure that facility buildings and grounds remain in good condition, creating a comfortable work environment. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs, scheduling and monitoring vendors, cleaning grounds and parking lots, room and equipment set-up, facility moves and workstation installations, and other facility-related duties as assigned. Organizes facility requests and maintains continuous communication with stakeholders

 

Primary responsibilities:

  • Responds to all facilities-related requests in a prompt, courteous manner.
  • Performs basic maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, minor electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and Grounds safely and efficiently per accepted industry standards.
  • Works in partnership with management and recommends vendor involvement where appropriate. Acts as a primary point of contact for scheduled vendors.
  • Utilizes computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for intake of requests, documentation of equipment, manuals, specifications, parts, company vehicles, and maintenance schedules. Monitors and tracks facilities requests and work order queues.
  • Performs ongoing preventative maintenance and ensures consistent execution of scheduled / reoccurring maintenance programs.
  • Performs regular maintenance audits of Credit Union buildings and vehicles. Documents and reports on maintenance needs.
  • Performs assigned duties in a manner that reflects adherence to OSHA standards and maintains safety as a top priority.
  • Attends all required safety trainings.

 

Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • Minimum high school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum one year of facilities maintenance or general maintenance experience to include some experience with light electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Knowledge of building systems and their interdependencies.
  • Basic mechanical skills required. Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work without supervision, self-starter.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, using judgment, initiative, and tact.
  • Strong human relationship skills, approachable, calm under pressure, courteous.
  • A valid driver's license with a responsible driving record for a minimum of 3 years is required.
  • Occasional travel between Credit Union locations/branches required.

 

Nice to Haves:

  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience preferred.
  • Facilities Technical certifications preferred (CMRT, IMI, FMC, FMT, or other related certifications),
