Based in our Downtown Portland office, the Help Desk Specialist will support our IT Team and team members across the company.
The Help Desk Specialist is responsible for providing first contact trouble resolution, installing and configuring software and hardware as necessary for business purposes, and the maintenance of hardware systems. This role is part of a team that provides internal support to our business lines, helping to ensure software and hardware adherence and compliance. The Help Desk Specialist will work with colleagues and business staff daily to ensure working systems and a compliant environment. This role will also assist project teams with specified tasks.
Desired Qualities:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in an IT support role.
- In depth understanding of Windows desktop environments (Windows 10/11).
- Strong understanding of desktop networking protocols and concepts (DHCP, Ports, TCP/IP, Analysis, etc.)
- Understanding of Windows server types and administration.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience providing support to users using Windows 10/11 and other mainstream Microsoft applications, as well as other standard business applications.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A+ or equivalent Microsoft certification preferred.
