As the Senior HR Management Consultant for the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), you will serve as a leading human resource expert, providing comprehensive advice, guidance, and assistance to State HR professionals on highly complex areas involving human resource management in state government. You will lead complex enterprise initiatives and projects, in the field of Human Resources directly correlating to the Governor’s Office key priorities and state of Oregon statutory responsibilities.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
-
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or Public Administration, Behavioral Sciences or Organizational Development/Behavior; AND five years professional level human resource experience in workforce management, investigations and human resource management principles and practices; OR
-
Eight years professional level human resource experience in workforce management, investigations and human resource management principles and practices.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to approach all interactions with a high degree of professionalism, even under sensitive/difficult circumstances.

Demonstrated ability to analyze and research complex human resource issues that involve major areas of uncertainty in approach, methodology, or interpretation to identify appropriate courses of action.

Direct experience identifying, developing, and implementing policies, standards, and procedures, as well as evaluating new legislation for statewide impact.

Experience managing enterprise projects, from project development through implementation.

Experience facilitating meetings with partners with ideologically opposed perspectives and working towards consensus.

Experience developing formal proposals for executive leadership, conducting background research, analyzing data, and presenting findings to support policy development.

This position is eligible for hybrid remote work but is not suitable for full-time remote work. Occasional In-office work will be required. Exact terms of hybrid work and the work schedule will be discussed and agreed upon with the successful candidate and hiring manager.
