The role:
We are recruiting an equity and community engagement manager to join our Office of Equity and Civil Rights in Salem! In this collaborative role, you will direct the development and implementation of our diversity, equity and inclusion, affirmative action plans and all other reporting requirements across all divisions and provide leadership and communication in this area at our agency. Minimum qualifications:
Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience.
OR
Three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Special qualifications:
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.

• Experience working on affirmative action or diversity, equity and inclusion plans.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups and public speaking experience at events.
• Experience building collaborative partnerships with members of the contracting community, small business advocacy organizations, community based organizations, local/regional partners and government entities.
• Demonstrated success in process development, project coordination, contract compliance and generating progress reports.
• Experience leading staff, directing work groups, promoting collaborative discussion and decision making.
