The Office of Administrative Hearings is responsible for conducting administrative hearings for most state agencies in the State of Oregon. Our mission is to serve the public by providing fair, accessible and efficient contested case services in a neutral forum. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Conduct timely, fair, and impartial contested case hearings. Individuals in this position work under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Individuals in this position preside over hearings, ensuring that a complete record is developed, and write orders accurately deciding all factual and legal issues.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Required Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited law school with a LL.B. or J.D. degree; OR
Three years’ experience conducting contested case hearings.
Experience preparing and/or presenting cases before an administrative hearing or preparing written administrative decisions based on laws and regulations may be substituted for one year of the conducting contested case hearings experience.

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS-qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%. Please review the Classification and Compensation page for more details.
