Help Desk Specialist
Our client is seeking a dynamic and talented IT Helpdesk Specialist to join their innovative team. This role is pivotal in providing on-site and remote IT support, ensuring smooth technical operations across client locations. The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient but also outgoing and highly customer-focused, capable of building strong relationships while resolving technical issues efficiently.
This role is based onsite in Vancouver, Washington, with occasional hybrid work flexibility. Travel to client locations is required.
Help Desk Specialist Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and other IT devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to email, enterprise applications, and web applications.
- Manage and resolve IT helpdesk tickets efficiently within service level agreements (SLAs).
- Configure and administer user accounts in Active Directory.
- Oversee cloud services, including Azure and Office 365.
- Perform Windows scripting using tools like PowerShell, VB, or Python.
- Create and maintain PC images using Kace imaging software.
- Engage directly with clients, offering clear communication and excellent customer service during technical support visits.
Help Desk Specialist Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or similar role. Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) may substitute for experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, customer-oriented demeanor.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in PC troubleshooting, networking, and support within a Microsoft Active Directory domain.
- Expertise in Microsoft desktop products and Group Policy Object creation/management.
- Experience with cloud service platforms like Azure and Office 365.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and research skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent multitasking capabilities.
- Physical capability to operate and troubleshoot hardware.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and travel regularly to client sites.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits.
Salary: $53k-$60k/year. (DOE)
