As ODVA’s Human Resources Administrator, you will be a strategic partner and advocate for equity and inclusion. You’ll lead the development and implementation of forward-thinking HR policies and practices that support a diverse workforce and empower employees to thrive. You will be a part of the ODVA Executive Leadership Team. Your work will influence every level of the agency, creating pathways for collaboration, developing employees, organizational excellence, and DEIA.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Advocate for Inclusive Policies: Develop and implement HR strategies that embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) into ODVA’s culture and operational practices.

  • Partner with Leadership: Advise senior leaders on workforce planning, policy development, culture change, and management practices that align with ODVA’s mission.

  • Champion Employee Relations: Foster a positive, inclusive workplace by leading efforts in labor relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.

  • Empower Teams: Lead and support a team of four HR professionals in delivering recruitment, classification, compensation, and employee training services.

  • Engage and Educate: Promote DEIA initiatives through employee development programs, training, and continuous learning opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR

  • Two years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • HR Knowledge and Application: Deep understanding of public sector HR laws, regulations, and principles. Skilled in interpreting and applying laws, rules, policies, and procedures effectively.

  • Collaborative Relationship Building: Skilled in cultivating positive relationships across diverse teams while addressing workplace dynamics with professionalism and cultural sensitivity.

  • Labor Relations Expertise: Experience administering labor contracts and navigating unionized environments to ensure fairness, mutual respect, and compliance with negotiated agreements.

  • Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain policies and decisions, fostering transparency and trust.

  • Innovative Leadership: Demonstrated success in crafting and implementing HR strategies that align with organizational goals and reflect a commitment to DEIA values.
