JOB SUMMARY

The Logistics Technician will report to the Fleet and Equipment & Fleet Assistant Manager to provide day-to-day support related to the janitorial business unit. This person will assist with logistical and routing support, provide additional assistance in the field to the building solutions team, pickup and delivery of equipment and fleet vehicles. They will also assist with maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and other duties as required. A presence at the worksite during normal business hours as well as responding to emergency situations is an essential function of this position. Driving is an essential function of this job. 

Logistics 

  • Assemble furniture and equipment as needed for the operations teams 

  • Update tracking logs for equipment and vehicle repairs  

  • Assist with collection and disposal of the assets, chemicals and supplies 

Supplies 

  • Manage log of inventory received and delivered to the HUB for the Building Solutions team 

  • Manage return of items to the hub from worksites 

  • Deliver special request supplies to worksites 

  • Support with warehouse requests 

  • Assist in moving, organizing and disposal of items at different worksites 

Fleet Maintenance: 

  • Provide general upkeep of Relay vehicles including refueling, cleaning and washing 

  • Pick up and Deliver vehicles to job sites, repair locations, and satellite offices 

  • Assist with general repairs and maintenance of vehicles assigned 

Equipment Maintenance: 

  • Conduct basic equipment diagnostics, repair and assess need for escalation to management  

  • Assist with equipment inventory at assigned locations 

  • Assist with transportation of equipment to and from worksites, main office and repair locations 

Floorcare Support:  

  • Assist the floor maintenance teams with placement of furniture at worksites after work has been completed.  

  • Assist with delivery of supplies and equipment to worksites 

Administrative 

  • Complete reports, paperwork and other data entry as required 

  • Obtain estimates for supplies, repairs and parts.  

  • Act as liaison with vendors and internal departments 

  • Work independently to complete daily tasks as assigned by Equipment & Fleet Assistant Manager  

  • Attend assigned meetings as required 

  • Communicate with management related to logistics, safety, and maintenance issues and concerns. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 1 year in similar logistics roles or general maintenance field 

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Valid driver’s license  

  • Ability to pass all customer security clearances for sites access 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • Knowledge of basic equipment and vehicle maintenance

  • Adjust schedule as needed based on operational needs

  • Ability to work with moderate supervision and some independent decision making.
