The Role:

This position will serve to assist with the coordination of security and company compliance initiatives, provide organizational support to the Corporate Security team, and administration of the background investigation process for internal and external stakeholders.

Day to Day:

  • Create and maintain cooperative relationships with external NW Natural security partners and contractors.
  • Assist with the documentation and analysis of all security related activities and policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the management and administration of access control and CCTV monitoring systems, including troubleshooting to resolve issues at various sites, retrieving data and preparing reports.
  • Oversees administration of Contractor backgrounds investigations program(s). Communicates between applicants and business units to initiate background check, provide updates, and address dispositions.
  • Maintains and publishes active lists of background certified Contractors.
  • Directs and monitors performance of contractors responsible for the Company's security systems, access control, and facilities upgrades.
  • Maintains accurate and organized records, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Assists with the management and administration of access control systems and user privileges.
  • Administers Corporate Security related functions for lock and key programs (electronic and manual)
  • Operation and training associated with Guest Access Management System.
  • Participates in security drills and audits.
  • Assists with SOX reporting, and TSA compliance reporting.
  • Processes invoices and Purchase Orders, creates Purchase Requisitions for Corporates Security.
  • Participates in the preparation of the annual capital improvement and operating and maintenance budgets.
  • Maintains Corporate Security Sharepoint site.
  • Assists other business units with Security related planning and communications.
  • Scheduling related to Corporate Security trainings, presentations, and meetings.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Come on your first day with:

  • A college degree or equivalent employment experience with an emphasis in utility or corporate security.
  • Working knowledge of security best practices and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work and manage aspects of various projects independently.
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams, and SAP.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve issues related to corporate security projects.
  • Ability to interact with employees and stakeholders at all levels with tact, diplomacy, and respect.
  • Must possess strong ethical standards with uncompromising regard for confidential information.

Base salary range: $60,750.00 - $81,650.00 (Level 1) or $70,700.00 - $97,000.00 (Level 2) per year, depending on qualifications

Annual Target Incentive: Level 1, 7.5% target

Level 2, 7.5% target
Targets are calculated using eligible earnings during plan year participation. Payout, if earned, is based on company and individual performance for each plan year and may range from 0% ' 200% of target. Targets are subject to change in subsequent plan years. Must be employed by September 30 in order to receive any prorated payout.
