About the Position
We currently have an excellent opportunity for two motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented individuals to perform advanced administrative and specialized technical support to all areas of our office. These positions will be involved in a variety of activities associated with property ownership, boundaries, valuation and taxation, and will include extensive customer service.
 
Assessment and Taxation Specialists know effective and professional customer service techniques and are able to perform business math, compile data, and prepare complex reports. They interpret and apply laws, rules and regulations, and work effectively in a team environment towards a common goal and essential deadlines.

About the Division
The purpose of Assessment and Taxation is to appraise property, to calculate, collect and distribute taxes, and to provide related information to the public in a manner that merits the highest degree of confidence in our integrity, efficiency, and fairness. We are a broad service organization mandated by the Oregon Constitution and Oregon law and collect revenue for 85 taxing jurisdictions, including local governments, schools, and special districts that provide essential public services for the citizens of Lane County.

Schedule: 
Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

Training
  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by course work in business, personnel or public administration or a related field.

Experience

  • Three years of responsible experience providing complex secretarial or administrative support.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
