What Matters Most:

  • 2+ years of paralegal experience required; knowledge of appellate procedure, plaintiffs or advocacy background helpful

Your New Role:
Are you an organized professional looking for meaningful work? You may be the perfect Legal Assistant/Paralegal for this mission-driven organization providing legal services to families in need of advocacy as they take on the challenges of the foster care and juvenile justice systems.

In this role, you'll support attorneys working on appeals cases. Your primary responsibilities will include calendaring and scheduling, opening and maintaining case files, corresponding with clients, obtaining trial records and exhibits, and preparing and e-filing a variety of legal documents. Your tech savvy, organization, and writing skills will be key in this role.

Supporting families in crisis can be challenging, so this position requires strong emotional intelligence. Your team will rely on you to uphold their core values of collaboration, equity, compassion, and integrity. The incumbent paralegal/legal assistant has many years of experience in this role and is staying on to mentor and ensure a smooth transition.

You'll have a very flexible hybrid schedule.
