TriMet’s Cybersecurity team is seeking a summer 2025 Intern to assist with developing and streamlining security operations processes.  As an intern you will assist our Cybersecurity team to establish and enhance security operations processes. This internship offers an opportunity to learn about critical infrastructure cybersecurity, working with both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT). This internship provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with tools and strategies used in cybersecurity.

You will be working on tasks such as role-based training, day-to-day management of mobile device endpoint detection and response systems, along with vulnerability management for both IT and OT.  Additionally, you will be exposed to specific cybersecurity requirements for select types of federally regulated information. Throughout the internship, you will be able to experience cybersecurity operations that include critical infrastructure and learn about the significant differences between information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) through the cybersecurity lens.

TriMet's Internships are excellent opportunities to build skills, gain experience, develop connections with industry professionals and develop work samples for a portfolio. Relevant experience is useful, but most important is a willingness and excitement to learn.
