  • Unlicensed: $35.47/hr. - $39.38/hr. (73,700/yr. - $81,900/yr.)
  • Licensed: $37.60/hr. - $41.74/hr. ($78,200/yr. - $86,800/yr.)

Position/Job Summary
The Clinical Services Supervisor provides comprehensive clinical oversight and administrative support to the outpatient mental health services program for children and their families. This role involves supervising a team of mental health professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality client care, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The supervisor is responsible for fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional development, encouraging a trauma informed culture and evidence-based practices for all clinical support roles while implementing best practices in mental health and substance abuse recovery care. 
  
This position provides clinical supervision for various Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) positions to include outreach engagement specialists, intake specialists, and other clinical support positions as assigned, and reports to the Division Director of Clinical Services. 
  
Position/Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Provide support and mentorship to staff members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and excellence.

  • Holds staff accountable for performance measures including productivity, timely documentation of clinical services, compliance with funding authorities.

  • Completes other duties as assigned to ensure successful operation of program/department. 
  • Provide direct clinical supervision to qualified mental health associates, including case consultation, skill development, and performance feedback. 
  • Provide supervision and manage employee performance, including support plans and disciplinary actions. 
  • Conduct and document individual supervisory session and or group supervisory sessions, as directed by program and agency procedures and guidelines. 
  • Collaborate with each team member to support professional development and individual. 
  • Engages supervisees in discussions of ethical and legal decision-making and professional values. 
  • Utilizes scheduled supervision constructively, responds nondefensively and applies supervisory feedback, recommendations. 
  • Respond to and help to manage client crisis situations, providing support and guidance to staff. 
  • Assign daily tasks to QMHA staff based on program and children and family needs. 
  • Assign and manage caseloads, ensuring timely and effective client care 
  • Provides expertise and guidance in professionalism, demonstrating proper behavior in handling errors and fostering an interactive dialogue with supervisees. 
  • Works with supervisee to collaborate with internal and external systems to coordinate services and enhance program effectiveness. 
  • Collaborates with staff to implement short-term and long-term goals and program objectives, deciding how to best use resources to achieve successful outcomes for clients in services. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize professional limitations, will seek collaboration and support from direct supervisor.  
  • Monitor and review clinical documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with state and federal regulations and organizational requirements. 
  • Oversee access and engagement requirements to ensure compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules, contractual obligations, and organizational requirements. 
  • Facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff, promoting continuous learning and improvement. 
  • Ensures agency wide training and staff development is adhered to relevant to agency and program requirements. 
  • Facilitates discussions with the supervisee regarding ethical and legal decision-making as well as professional values.  
  • Ensures that supervisees are accountable for their behavior and guides them in accepting responsibility for their actions.
  •  Demonstrate a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.  
  • Participate in staff development, in-services, and training related to equity and inclusion in the workplace; model appropriate behaviors; develop, recommend, and implement improvements to business practices with awareness and understanding of the impact in a trauma-informed and culturally diverse organization

  • Demonstrates substantial knowledge of relevant clinical practices, diagnoses, therapeutic interventions and is able to model and train supervisees.

  • Demonstrates and models the ability to develop and maintain clear role boundaries and an appropriate balance between consultation and training within the supervisory relationship.  
  • Demonstrates the ability to analyze and evaluate skills and performance of supervisees including the ability to confront and correct unsuitable actions and interventions on the part of the supervisees. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to make thoughtful and informed decisions that respect and accommodate the diverse needs of individuals while maintaining a supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Recognizes the challenges faced by supervisees in the field and assists them in identifying and preventing secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout 
  • Exhibit professionalism in demeanor, attire, communication, and adherence to agency and program commitments. 
Required Position Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social work, Counseling, or a related field. 
  • Two years of direct clinical post-graduate experience in a mental health setting. 
  • Experience in trauma-informed care and working collaboratively with teams. 
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral management strategies. 
  Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • Experience supervising or leading a team of professionals in a mental health or related field. 
  • Knowledge of adolescent developmental issues, trauma, abuse and neglect, substance abuse  and dependence, delinquency, peer influence, and related group and individual interventions.  
  • Current Oregon licensed mental health professional or a current professional mental health license in another state with the ability to obtain Oregon licensure within 6 months of employment. 
 Other Requirements: 
  • Able to work shift hours and days, as assigned 
  •  Occasional travel via car to visit different work sites  
  • Able to pass a comprehensive criminal history background investigation   
Working Conditions:  
  • Environment: Work is done in clinical offices, community settings, including Morrison Residential, administration buildings, public locations, and social service sites. Breaks and meals are subject to interruption. Universal Precautions and remaining alert to the environment are critical to address the potential for violent behavior, exposure to disease, biohazards, noise, and contaminants. 
  • Mental demands: Work assigned is diverse and may involve addressing new and unique circumstances. The work might be unpredictable and disrupt planned tasks, requiring flexible time management. 
  • Physical demands: Ability to remain calm and emotionally available serving youth, adults and or families who have experienced trauma. Proficient with office equipment and physical movement. Ability to perform physical interventions if needed in accordance with program and training. Physical dexterity for reaching, stooping, and repetitive wrist and hand motions.
