The Deputy City Surveyor requires collaboration across different departments, effective communication, effective personnel use, and establishing and adhering to work schedules within the survey section. In addition, this position interacts daily with the general public, local land surveyors, engineers, and architects. This role manages multiple projects with administrative responsibility and provides supervision, quality control, and assurance over activities managed by professional and technical staff at lower levels. The successful candidate is an accomplished experienced land surveyor who likes challenges and diversity in work and desires to work for a local municipal government in a mid-sized Oregon city. Punctual, regular, and reliable attendance is essential for successful job performance. This position works under the direction of the City Surveyor or designee.
