Position overview:
Ensures the consistent and effective operations of all in-house security systems, including video surveillance, alarms, access control, and other associated systems. Responsibilities include planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all hardware, software and communication links. Acts as primary contact for physical security vendors and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure a secure environment across all credit union locations. In partnership with Facilities management, manages the physical security budget. Documents, records and reports on system activities, including maintenance, incidents, and audits.
Primary responsibilities:
- System set up, design, maintenance and monitoring.
- Serves as the primary liaison for law enforcement and emergency response teams. Develops and maintains procedures for responding to security incidents.
- Ensures all security systems and practices comply with industry standards and credit union policies.
- Prepares and submits reports on security status including alarms and any breaches, ensuring quick and effective resolution.
- Performs regular risk assessments and audits physical systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure proper staff training on security protocols, proper use of systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborates with Facilities management to manage the budget for security systems and services, ensuring cost effective solutions without compromising security quality.
- Maintains detailed records of all physical security activities, including installations, maintenance, incidents, and audits. Ensures accurate and up to date documentation.
- Acts as primary point of contact for security vendors, managing relationships, and overseeing the quality of work. Ensures timely response and issue resolution related to security system maintenance and upgrades.
