Aging, Disability and Veteran Services (ADVSD) is excited to announce we are currently seeking an experienced individual to provide services as a Program Supervisor within our Adult Protective Services program. 

 As a Program Supervisor you will lead everyday with a meaningful purpose to protect older adults and individuals with disabilities from abuse and neglect. You are influencing and supporting a team of independent determined investigators and administrative professionals to meet community needs and deliver exceptional and valued person-centered services. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in promoting a culture of respect, inclusiveness, and appreciation of diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and values

  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to appropriately apply pertinent federal, state, and local laws related to older adults and individuals with disabilities 

  • Advanced understanding of the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities

  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices of investigation and adult protective services

  • Ability to manage employees including guiding, coaching, initiating performance improvement, corrective action, and disciplinary action when appropriate

  • Experience using a participatory management style to promote teamwork and a "learning" work environment for employees 

  • Ability to provide direction, implement change management, and lead a complex program responsible for ensuring protection and support for individuals who may have complex health, behavioral and social needs

  • Ability to exercise good judgment, diplomacy, and tact in dealing with confidential and complex situations.

  • Knowledge of available programs, public assistance providers, service agencies, protective services, referral centers, community resources, and crisis/emergency resources

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in increasingly responsible professional leadership or technical program experience working with aging and disability programs.

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Must pass a criminal background check

Additional Information:

Type of Position:  This non-represented full-time position is not eligible for overtime.

Schedule:  Core business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
