Join TriMet as a summer intern with our Labor Relations department!
In this internship, you will have the opportunity to review prior collective bargaining agreements (WWAs) and develop a history of changes over the different contracts and the reasons for the change and update current history spreadsheet with current CBA information; continue adding historical information.
TriMet's Internships are excellent opportunities to build skills, gain experience, develop connections with industry professionals and develop work samples for a portfolio. Relevant experience is useful, but most important is a willingness and excitement to learn.
This Internship is performed in-person. Applicants must be available to work in-person in the Portland Metro region of Oregon.

Serve as a good steward of TriMet by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers’ experiences and of TriMet’s product and service offerings.
Essential Functions
- Organizing, archiving and maintaining documents.
- Supporting projects and initiatives.
- Supporting Labor Relations and HR/Benefits with operations initiatives.
- Performing other job-related duties as required.
- Backup to assist with the coverage of administrative functions.
- Conduct legal research to share with internal audiences.
- Gather confidential information in response to inquiries.
- Review and make recommendations to basic content to Union job descriptions.
Position Requirements
Be a current or upcoming Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field. Current Grad students or recent graduates within the last 12 months will also be considered.
Selection Criteria
Type of Position / Grade / FLSA
Non-Exempt, Non-Union, Full-Time (40 hours/week), Temporary. Internships will run May/June through August/September.
Wage
Interns will be paid $21/hour
