As an Electronic Security Technician 2, you’ll bring your expertise in security system methods and technologies to:

  • Network, repair, install, and maintain advanced security systems.

  • Manage computer-controlled electronic access, intrusion alarms, CCTV, intercoms, fire alarm integration, ADA door operators, and related software/hardware.

  • Ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for state employees and the public.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current Limited Energy Journeyman (LEA) electrical license issued by the Oregon Building Codes Division AND six years of experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of manual and computer controlled electronic systems; OR

  • A General Journeyman Electrician license AND six years of experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of manual and computer controlled electronic systems.

 

Preference Statement:

Preference may be given to those with professional electronic security systems specific experience.

 

Desired Attributes:

  • Experience delivering outstanding customer service as well as the skills and ability to develop relationships with clients and co-workers to get the job done.

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to independently prioritize and organize work efficiently to meet deadlines.

  • Experience working within a Computer Integrated Facilities Management System (CIFMS).

  • Ability to operate with a comprehensive understanding of, or learn within a short period of time, LENEL software and hardware, network video system software and hardware, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Basic knowledge of electronic theory and equipment, including computer based electronic access systems, CCTV, and other digital security equipment.

  • This position is eligible for hybrid work but is not suitable for full-time remote work. Work is primarily conducted remotely, but in-person work is occasionally required, based on the business needs. Terms of hybrid work and the work schedule will be discussed and agreed upon with the successful candidate and hiring manager.

  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness: As a state government employee, you may qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. Additional Details

  • Employee is required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state where the employee resides.

  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) clearance.

  • Finalists will be subject to a computerized criminal history check. Adverse background data may be grounds for immediate disqualification.
