Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) seeks a Trades Supervisor who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and supervising all building and facility maintenance services, and staff engaged in the repair and maintenance of district facilities, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC-R, carpentry, and/or plumbing.

This position has a wide range of responsibilities requiring strong management skills. The incumbent is responsible for a maintenance program that is broad in scope, requiring professional-level knowledge and experience and the exercise of substantial independent judgment and discretion.

A successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team of full-time employees, proven organization skills, exceptional communication skills and the technical expertise to work alongside and guide their team to accomplish the tasks of the trades team.

The typical schedule for this position is Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:45pm. This position is the first contact for maintenance-related emergencies at district facilities and assumes a schedule of flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, per the classification.

Education and Experience:

A bachelor’s degree with major course work in construction management, business management or related field, or work-life equivalent, and a minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in building, aquatic and/or trades maintenance or related field, including a minimum of three (3) years of experience in management or as an expert individual contributor responsible for leading employees and projects. 

 

Licenses and Certifications: 

Must maintain a valid Oregon Driver's License and good driving record 

Current CPR/First Aid certification, preferred 

Facilities Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), preferred
