Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is looking for a Building Tech II to provide custodial services and routine maintenance at assigned district facilities. The Building Tech II will play a key role in keeping our district facilities safe, clean and running smoothly, creating a welcoming environment for the community

 

The building tech II will be located at the Elsie Stuhr Center which is our center dedicated to our 55+ community. This position will be responsible for the quick change over of rooms for events, extensive custodial work – including multiple bathrooms, inventory and purchasing of supplies needed for the center and will oversee part-time maintenance employees. They will work closely with patrons, staff and maintenance crews.  A successful candidate will be able to balance the heavy custodial load with the ability to flex their schedule to the needs of the facility while keeping themselves and patrons safe.

 

The schedule for the Building Tech II position is Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm. Assignments and schedules are subject to change based on organizational and seasonal need.

Education and Experience

 

Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would likely provide the applicant with the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain knowledge and abilities would be: 

 

  • Completion of the twelfth (12th) grade or equivalent work-life experience.  

  • Building Tech II: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in custodial services.
