The Facilities, Fleet, and Parks Department is seeking an Equipment and Supply Coordinator to join our team and support the work of our dedicated facilities and specialist teams. This position will support the department with research and purchasing of office furnishing, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary to maintain County-owned buildings including setting up and administration of a warehouse that includes County-standard office furnishings.
The Equipment and Supply Coordinator will work closely with the Central Logistics Services Supervisor to create a well-organized stock management scheme that integrates well with the existing work order system. The stock management scheme will be based on three tiers, being personal (items issued directly to technicians and their vehicles), building (items staged against future need in specific structures), and warehouse (items to continuously replenish the first two tiers). The position entails significant duties related to office furnishing, to include purchasing, managing inventory, and handling defective returns of standard office furnishings. Prior experience in this field is particularly useful. Qualified applicants should have documented success in purchasing and stock management. They must be able to safely operate a manual pallet jack, a cargo van, light box truck, forklift, and standup forklift.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience in areas such as inventory and warehouse management, materials and equipment management, or purchasing. OR
- Possession of an Associate Degree in business, management, accounting, or a purchasing-related field; AND One (1) year of professional work experience in areas such as inventory and warehouse management, materials and equipment management, or purchasing.
Additional Requirements
- Must possess a driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and have an acceptable driving record per Washington County policy. To review Washington County's Driver’s License and Record Policy:Driver's License & Records Policy (Vehicles - Section 800).
- Some positions in this classification are required to pass a background check. Positions within the Washington County Sheriff's Office will be required to submit a detailed statement of personal history and must successfully pass a criminal and personal history background check.
- Some positions need to lift, carry, and control up to 40 pounds of equipment and supplies.
