Job Summary
The Coastal Communities & Fisheries Coordinator will be responsible for providing direct support to Ecotrust's Coastal Communities & Fisheries (CCF) team by assisting with project and budget management, including tracking expenses, and processing invoices. The Coordinator will handle a collection of tasks and projects, including supporting Ecotrust's partner networks, the Sustainable Southeast Partnership and the Tribal Marine Stewards Network. Additionally, they will contribute to effective communication by developing clear and concise reports, presentations, and training materials for diverse audiences. This position requires close collaboration with tribal staff, external partners, and internal teams, working under the supervision of the Senior Director of Coastal Communities.
Primary Responsibilities

- Support the development and implementation of detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and support the implementation of solutions to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support the development and dissemination of clear and concise communications related to project updates and results for internal and external audiences.
- Support Ecotrust's Coastal Communities & Fisheries team as we work with multi-party networks, including Ecotrust's partner networks, the Sustainable Southeast Partnership and Tribal Marine Stewards Network.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts, including providing support on grant writing, reporting, and tracking.
- Support budget managers with tasks such as invoice processing and expense tracking.
- Keep accurate records of program activities, participant information, and other relevant data.
- Support report development on program progress, outcomes, and finances.
- Coordinate meetings, events, and other program-related activities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google suite.
- Some experience managing a collection of tasks and projects.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
- Some experience processing invoices, tracking expenses, and supporting administrative budget tasks.
- Ability to adjust to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure tasks are completed thoroughly.
- Ability to work cooperatively and connect across race, ethnicity and cultural backgrounds, with awareness of how our identities and values influence interactions
- Ability to examine and reflect on your own racial/ethnic biases or prejudices and understand how that may impact your work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to communicate complex information into clear and concise language for various audiences.
- 1-2 years of experience working in fisheries management, food systems, or coastal community development.

- Bachelor's degree, or Lived experience and/or professional experience with fisheries, aquaculture, food systems, or related fields.
- Ability to identify and solve problems, and make sound decisions.
- Experience working with Tribal Nations, Tribal Organizations, or Tribal entities
- Experience with productivity software such as Asana or other project management software.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Working conditions:
This position involves a combination of office-based work and occasional travel.

- Work Environment: The employee will typically work in a standard office environment. This includes a climate-controlled setting with moderate noise levels (e.g., office equipment, conversations). This is a hybrid remote and office position.
- Travel: This position requires occasional travel to California, Washington, and Alaska. Travel may involve overnight stays and varying schedules. The employee must be able and willing to travel as needed to meet business demands.
