Full Time, Full Benefits
Location: Federal Way, WA
FLSA: Exempt / Salaried
Hybrid: 2 days a week (office based in Federal Way, WA)
Travel Required: Yes, (Travel to client homes)
Salary: $31.69/hour - $34.98/hour

Job Summary:
The Case Manager Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of leading and supervising case management staff in the home study and post release services program, oversees assignment of referrals, and provides a combination of direct service for assigned cases and provides supervision for identified Case Managers.                      

About The Program: ORR Home Study and Post Release Program              

Morrison is proud to provide a wide range of services for youth and families, including residential and support services for immigrant youth through the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). These include a short-term shelter, a long-term group home and our Home Study and Post Release Program.  The Home Study and Post Release Program provides case management services to youth being reunified with a family member or family friend as they transition out of ORR care.  Case Managers travel nationally and provide support to families to ensure that youth are in a safe and positive environment where they can best thrive.                   

Duties and Responsibilities:        

  • Reviews waitlist for home studies and post release services and accepts and assigns referrals to case managers
  • Trains and supervises case managers
  • Submit detailed and thorough documentation in accordance with agency and ORR requirements.
  • Carries a small case load of home studies and post release services
  • Review Notice of Concerns (NOCs), per federal policy requirements.
  • Ensures case file documentation is maintained in accordance with ORR requirements, and conducts internal chart reviews to monitor documentation compliance
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.    
  • Participate in staff development, in-services, and training related to workplace effectiveness; model professional behaviors and implement improvements to business practices with awareness of their impact in a trauma-informed behavioral healthcare organization. 

Education and Work Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or an equivalent degree in behavioral sciences, human services or a social services field OR (This requirement may be substituted by a bachelors degree in one of the aforementioned sciences, plus approximately 5 years of relevant employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience)
  • Approximately 3 years of experience in the fields listed above.
  • Experience working with immigrant populations.
  • Attained age 21 years or older before first day of employment in position 
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, written, read, and verbal. Must clear a language proficiency test for Spanish.

Valued Experience:  

  •  Supervision experience preferred          

Other Requirements:

  • Meet agency driving requirements.
  • May require transporting of clients either in an agency vehicle or airplane along with travel to client homes.

Working Conditions:   
EnvironmentWork is done in clinical offices, community settings, including Morrison Residential, administration buildings, public locations, and social service sites. Breaks and meals are subject to interruption. Universal Precautions and remaining alert to the environment are critical to address the potential for violent behavior, exposure to disease, biohazards, noise, and contaminants.   
    
Mental demands: Work assigned is diverse and may involve addressing new and unique circumstances. The work might be unpredictable and disrupts planned tasks, requiring flexible time management.   
    
Physical demands: Ability to remain calm and emotionally available serving youth, adults and or families who have experienced trauma. Proficient with office equipment and physical movement. Ability to perform physical interventions if needed in accordance with program and training. Physical dexterity for reaching, stooping, and repetitive wrist and hand motions.
