Summary of Duties
As the SOQ Administrator, you will:
- Be responsible for establishing the mission, overall direction, and priorities of the Safety, Oversight, and Quality unit.
- Be responsible for oversight, development, and implementation of continuous improvement principles and projects that will further enhance the effectiveness of SOQ.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving.
Seven years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR four years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
- A commitment and experience in promoting equity, addressing bias, and creating an inclusive work environment.
- Experience developing, interpreting, and enforcing Oregon Administrative Rules, policies, and procedures.
- Experience managing and providing program oversight within a high-risk, high-paced licensing and regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically design, manage, plan, execute, and prioritize workload, resources, timelines, risks, and opportunities.
- Experience leading and managing mid-level managers or multiple work units concurrently.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of managing public sector government programs, including managing represented employees.
- Evidence of strong interpersonal skills, including communication and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Note: This position will receive a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) increase of 6.55%, which is not reflected in the salary listed in this posting. The increase is effective January 1, 2025, for February 1, 2025, paychecks.
