Position Summary:
The Director of Engineering, Operations, and Capital Projects is an executive team member primarily responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of engineering, capital projects, and facility and field maintenance and operations.
This position has executive-level accountability for the operational excellence and strategic effectiveness of these areas and supervises managerial staff to achieve the district’s goals. Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing projects, including ones that are publicly visible, and participating actively in the district’s executive leadership team to advance UFSWQD's strategic objectives and equity initiatives.
Working Environment: This role includes both office and fieldwork environments. Occasional lifting and field visits may be required. Hours typically fall between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Remote work is available for some tasks; however, regular office and field presence are necessary to meet operational requirements. UFSWQD reserves the right to adjust remote work policies as needed.
