About the Position

The Community and Economic Development Analyst will support the community and economic development (CED) program in Lane County. The position will work with communities to identify CED priorities and associated support or assistance needed from the County and connect communities with other service/resource providers when support is best provided by a third party. Within the County government, the CED Analyst will serve as an advocate for Lane County communities, property owners and businesses by helping them understand and navigate State and County rules, regulations, and processes. The position will also cultivate partnerships and collaborative efforts that benefit and connect rural communities across Lane County and the broader region. In addition, the CED Analyst will assist in the administration of CED program and associated processes and efforts. The CED Analyst reports directly to the Community and Economic Development Manager.

About the Division

The Policy Division, within the County Administration department, is a dynamic team that includes Housing, Climate Change, Community Resilience and Recovery, Community & Economic Development, Grant Strategy Management, and Intergovernmental Relations. The Community & Economic Development Manager is a valuable and critical member of this team.

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 9:00am – 5:00pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree 

Experience:

  • Two years of professional experience in public or business administration, public affairs, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. 

Special Requirements:

  • Oregon Driver's License

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with local governments, particularly in rural setting.

  • Knowledge of/training in C&ED principles and practices.

  • Familiarity with Oregon's regulatory environment.
